For tourists it is an attraction by itself and the gateway to Argentina’s hinterland. For its citizens, the “porteños”, Buenos Aires is all of this plus a bit of nostalgia for the good old times.

Uruguay’s capital, Montevideo, is a laid-back city with a very special charm. It offers a wide range of cultural activities all-year round: museums, theatre, world’s longest carneval, shows, concerts, etc. Its location on the riverfront (Rio de la Plata) is spectacular and in summer beaches are crowded.
